An existing website that needed both practical fixes and a more professional finish

Elite IV Infusions already had a website, but the first priority was practical: improve the old site's performance so it loaded more reliably and felt easier to use. That meant reducing oversized images, clearing caches, and using optimisation plugins to remove obvious speed issues without disrupting the site.

Once those initial fixes were completed, the client decided they wanted more than a patched-up version of the old website. They wanted a cleaner, more professional online presence that better reflected the quality of the clinic and made the next step clearer for visitors.

The rebuild needed to improve the fundamentals: clearer service messaging, stronger page structure, more visible calls to action, enquiry forms that were easy to find, and Stripe/payment setup where relevant. It also needed to give the client a better foundation for launch activity, including Google Ads setup.

The goal was not to overcomplicate the project or make claims the website could not support. It was to move the business from a basic, under-optimised site to a more credible digital presence with fewer points of friction.

Performance first, then a cleaner rebuild

Initial optimisation lifted performance from 71 to 97

Before the initial optimisation work, the old site scored a 71 on Google Lighthouse Performance. A score in this range can point to slower load times and a higher chance of visitors leaving before the page has fully loaded.

After reducing image sizes, clearing caches, and applying optimisation plugins, the site scored a 97. That documented improvement gave the client a faster starting point before the later rebuild work moved the website into a cleaner, more professional direction.

A clearer path from interest to action

The rebuilt website was structured so visitors could understand the clinic's services more quickly and move toward the right next step with less effort. Clearer calls to action and enquiry forms were added so contacting the business did not depend on visitors hunting through the page.

Stripe/payment setup was also supported where relevant, giving the client a stronger operational base for taking payments through the website. The focus was on making the digital experience more complete and easier to manage.

VitalScale Digital also helped set up Google Ads for the client. This case study does not present advertising performance results from that setup; the work completed was the practical setup needed so the client could begin testing paid search from a better website foundation.

Stabilise first, then rebuild with purpose

The work started with the existing site because the fastest way to create immediate value was to fix the obvious performance problems first. Image sizes, cache issues, and optimisation settings were addressed before broader design decisions were made.

Once the client chose to move ahead with a cleaner new website, the focus shifted to structure, clarity, trust, and conversion basics. The rebuild was not about adding unnecessary features. It was about giving the clinic a more polished and practical digital presence.

The same thinking applied to Google Ads setup: the campaign foundation matters, but it works best when the website people land on is clear, professional, and easy to act on.

A more professional foundation for the business

After the work, Elite IV Infusions had documented performance improvements from the initial optimisation phase and a cleaner rebuilt website that better matched the standard the client wanted to present online.

The new site gave the business clearer messaging, stronger structure, better enquiry pathways, and payment setup where relevant. Combined with Google Ads setup, it created a more credible foundation for future enquiries and marketing activity without overstating results that had not been proven.

A good website project does not always begin with a full rebuild. Sometimes the right first step is practical optimisation: reduce image sizes, clear caches, and fix what is obviously slowing the site down. But when a client wants a more professional online presence, those early fixes can become the bridge into a cleaner rebuild with stronger messaging, clearer actions, and better setup behind the scenes.

Most websites don't have a traffic problem. They have a trust and friction problem.

Most service-based websites underperform not because one thing is catastrophically wrong, but because several small issues add up — slow load times, unclear messaging, weak calls to action, or a site experience that does not quite match the quality of the service.

In health services and NDIS support — where people are making trust-based decisions — that friction is particularly costly. People don't book when they're uncertain. They don't enquire when the process is confusing. They move on.

At VitalScale Digital, we work with service businesses that are serious about what they do and want their online presence to reflect that. Sometimes the solution is targeted optimisation. Sometimes it becomes a full rebuild. The important part is being honest about what has actually been done and what still needs to be tested over time.

If you'd like, I'm happy to take a look at your website and give you an honest assessment of what's holding it back — no pitch, no pressure.
